Flight to KMEB
View MORE pics from this trip on my Flickr Page!
This was a very fun trip! I highly recommend to the pilots to fly in and take a look at all the aircraft just sitting out in the scrap yard...there is a good bit of history out there.

Video of The Day: Pedigree Dogs ad shot 1000 FPS using the Phantom camera
This is a very cool commercial as it is filming the dogs at 1000 FPS (Frames-Per-Second) in HD. Its actually funny to watch the dog's faces! Enjoy your weekend!

Video of the Day:What is Google Chrome OS?
Well this video of the day is more for the computer people. For all of those who have not heard about the upcoming Google Chrome OS.
I believe this is the future of the computer/operating system, where everything is in the cloud. I would love to get my hands on a CR-48 to be able to try out the Chrome OS. But until then, I will just sit back and wait.

Video of the Day: Everest Trek 2009 - Lukla Landing
So you think your a good pilot...try one this airport on for size! Lukla on of the worlds most dangerous airports. Here is a shot of the airport from Google.
Cat 3 Autoland
Yea you read right...Autoland...
In your commercial and airliner planes they have the capabilities to land when others don't...why???...because the airplane flies itself all the way down to the ground. So basically what they are saying is the airplane can fly better than the pilot. I do have to say the plane did have a pretty nice landing.

Giant B-52 model airplane flight
Talking about some serious money $$$. That would be sweet to have but not at a price of more than a real airplane. I will stick to my electric RC planes....MUCH cheaper and hardly require any maintenance (giving I don't crash it attempting stupid things).
Airbus A380 Contrail as seen from KLM Cockpit Boeing B747-400
Watch as the World's Largest Passenger Aircraft (Airbus 380) travels underneath this Boeing 747. Those are some massive contrails. After all the A-380 can takeoff weighing over a MILLION pounds! The down-fall of the 380 is that its an Airbus.
My 1st (simulated and very successful) GPS Approach
Just completed my first successful simulated GPS approach in IMC (500ft Ceiling and 3/4 vis, which is actually below minimums). I completed the approach in the Mooney with the glass cockpit. The approach was the RNAV (GPS) RWY 21 into Asheboro Regional (KHBI).
Its so amazing to be able to fly with pure white out the window relying on nothing but your instruments and all of a sudden BANG there is the runway right off your nose. Now I cant wait to be able to do this in real IMC and in a real airplane (just hope it works out this well).

Motion flight simulator
This is a good friend of mine flying the Redbird Flight Sim. It is very cool. Its a full motion simulator...just about as close as you can get without being in the plane. Of course this is not for everyone...at a cost of around $60,000...this could be only pocket change for others.
I didn't not get to fly in it...but watching him fly and the sim move is very neat.
My first Official Blog post...
Well its late at night or should I say early in the morning and I just finished setting up the basics of my first blog site. I have had a lot of fun doing it as well....in fact this beats Facebook any day (well some people just shouldn't have a blog...who knows I may be one of them)!
Well my main reason in creating this blog is for one to learn how (which it is very easy) and two to be able share my adventures and things I find interesting. I am sure my post will be random (from the things that happen to me, to funny videos, also pictures of planes, and then to peanut butter. I had to throw in something random). I encourage you to join my blog and enjoy the post!
God Bless,
Caleb
A video for you to enjoy...if you havent seen it already...this one came from the graveyard...
